National Relaxation Day Special: The Best NYC Facials, Massage and Body Treatments
Celebrate National Relaxation Day with this Insider's Guide to Manhattan's Best Day Spas
Who doesn’t want to celebrate national relaxation day in NYC? Over the years, I’ve traveled the country (and world) scouting spas as the Beauty director of InStyle magazine and I can say from personal experience that NYC is home to many of the very best. When people ask me for a recommendation, my biggest challenge is choosing just one. Which is why I put together this list: a round up of my favorite spots in the city, for every type of experience and budget. Whether you’re looking for a top notch facial for a girl’s spa day or a luxurious couples massage to celebrate an upcoming wedding anniversary, you’ll find exactly what you need on this list (including a few spots that won’t blow your kid’s tuition). One general piece of advice that applies to nearly all best spas in NYC: Book your treatment during the week (as opposed to the weekend) for the least expensive rates. I’ve included more tips and special offers below, and will update this list each week to reflect the best deals going on around town. Enjoy!

The exposed brick, wood-beam ceilings, columns and flickering candlelights are meant to recreate the ambience of Ancient Greek and Roman bathhouses—and they succeed.
